Saving your information is very important. Here are four ways to save an electronic document.
1) USB Drive
Pros: You can always carry it with you. You don't need internet access to use it.
Cons: It is easily lost, forgotten, broken, or stolen.
2) Hard Drive
Pros: You can't misplace it.
Cons: If your computer crashes, you lose everything. They can only be accessed from the computer you save it on.
3) A Network Drive
Pros: Once again, you can't misplace it. Your work will be able to be accessesd from any wired computer on campus.
Cons: It is only available by wired connection. Wireless computers will not work.
4) Google Docs
Pros: It's free. There is a lot of memory available. It cannot be misplaced or lost.
Cons: If you don't have internet access, getting your documents can be hard. They do offer a way to be able to access your documents from offline. So, there really aren't that many cons. (:

Hippopotamuses
Today we made a web page using Google Docs. First we created a word document. Then we uploaded it to Google Docs. From Google Docs, we published it to the Internet, creating a web page. Click here to view my published web page.

Mmmm..that's Delicious (:
Today we registered for a Delicious account. Delicious is a social bookmarking service that allows you to save bookmarks online. That way if your computer crashes or some other horrible event where all of your information is lost, all your bookmarks are still able to be accessed. You can also share them with other people much, much easier.
